Balkan War syndrome
A term that dignifies a side effect allegedly suffered by soldiers during the fighting in Bosnia, Hercegovina and Kosovo in the mid- to late 1990s, who were exposed to NATO anti-tank missiles and bombs containing depleted uranium.
