AP2B1

A gene on chromosome 17q11.2-q12 that encodes one of two large subunits of the heterotetrameric coat assembly protein complex 2 (AP2), which links clathrin to receptors in coated vesicles. AP2B1 is found on the cytoplasmic face of coated vesicles in the plasma membrane.
