Q. Can anyone give me some good sites about alcoholism?
I need statistics that shows how bad alcoholism is. I need it for a speech for a school. Anything with bar graphs or pie charts would be good too. I keep on Googling it but I keep ending up at the same websites.
A1Thanks for all the info
A2Here is all you need to know about alcoholism:
http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/alcohol.htm
A3---here is a chart from there:
http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/hus/hus06.pdf#066
and here is another one specially for statistics:

Q. sex after giving birth
My baby (Shelly) is three months now. Me and my husband tried having sex a couple of times since she was born, but the intercourse just hurts too much. Is this normal? I heard that sometimes when you get cuts during the birth they sew you too tight. Can it be the case? And if so, is this permanent or will it get better?
A1i"d go see your doctor sounds like there might be some scar tissue, which could cause for some discomfort, and sometimes it just takes long for some people to heal longer, when my wife had our first kid,it was about 3 months, before it was comfortable, but after our last kid,she was ready, after a month.
A2as long as the wound is already recovered, I think you can start the sexual activities. But again it depends on every person, I think scoote had given us a good example for that.
In case you still feel some discomfort and even hurt sensation down there, it is advisable to go see your doctor, just to check.

Meanwhile, enjoy your life and my greeting for baby Shelly..
A3i know the phenomenon from the other side...but as i recall - it didn't take more then few weeks until we got back to normal sex life (once a week for 2 minutes..:) just kidding- every day for an hour and a half..). 3 months is very long for any bruise or cuts to heal. this should be checked up by your gynecologist.
Q. What are some ways to treat anemia after giving birth to a baby?
I have heard the iron tablets can deplete a bodies ability to absorb iron over time. So what are some other natural ways to treat/cure anemia (as a result of giving birth to a baby)?
A1Oral iron supplements are the best way to restore iron levels for people who are iron deficient, but they should be used only when dietary measures have failed. However, iron supplements cannot correct anemias that are not due to iron deficiency. Change your diet and see if that helps.
A2You heard wrong: What happens is that as you build up your iron stores, your body naturally absorbs less.

If you are a bit anemic and don't want to take pills, cook in a cast iron skillet, eat iron-rich meats (liver, mostly). This is what I do.
A3Joseph is right..
Iron tablets will surely help, and you can also add extra-meat to your meals, to help your body to produce enough protein and substances to produce haemoglobin.
Q. I want to know the risks of giving Diet.
Hi all, my father-in-law gives my 11 month old daughter "Diet- Coke" to drink. He says that it is mostly watered and that there is nothing wrong with it. I am scared to see this. I would rather want her to drink milk or juice. I want to know the risks of giving Diet- Coke to kids which has chemicals also in it. I don't want her to become addicted to these contents or to caffeine.
A1NO soda at all is good for anyone, let alone children. This is bad. I constantly tell my wife to not give my daughter soda in any amounts.
A2Hi Tom, at this age, It is advisable to give your baby breast milk, an iron fortified infant formula, water, and up to 4-6 ounces of 100% fruit- juice. Another way to think about it is to consider if there are any good reasons to give an infant soda/flavored milk. If there aren't, besides the fact that she may like the way it tastes, then don't give it. And don't believe the argument that 'just- a- little- won't- hurt.' It is hard enough to raise healthy eaters, and it doesn’t really help to get those started early, liking junk foods or foods with little nutritional value.
A3Not a very smart move. Diet coke contains aspartame which is an artificial sweetener, this aspartame is not a very good thing when coming in large quantities. Even dangerous. A baby will need much less amount to get to the dangerous level, and that is only one material. A baby needs water. Fresh natural juice will do as well.
Q. Give life to her please!
Here is a really confusing question to you all. But your reply is a life for her. I know someone who is bipolar and she thinks that her ‘brother’ sexually molested her when they were kids. Can this be a delusion? Or hallucinating?
A1You should never ever assume that because someone is bipolar or have a mental illness of any kind that the things they say are untrue. I couldnt tell you if her brother sexually assulted her as a child. There is a possibility that it is a delusion but that is for her to work out, preferably with a professional.
Hallucinations happen but are normally short lived events. If this thought has entered her mind and it is remaining there chances are there is no hallucination about it. It may very well be a repressed memory working its way back to the surface... encourage her to talk to a theropist aout it and see if she can work it out in theropy... I believe that is the best way for her to deal with this situation. Continue to be of support to her and let her talk if she feels the need.... Just dont suggest to her that what she is remembering is untrue... you dont know the answer to that...
A2When people hallucinate with bipolar, they see colors or static in the air or stuff like that. When people are delusional with bipolar they have a belief that they are really important for some reason or also that they can do things that aren't really possible. If a person says that they are molested by their sibling, bipolar doesn't change anything, unless they are manic and freaking out. A better questing would be: does this person lie a lot about things like this? Or, why might she say this. Don't take someone’s credibility away just because they're bipolar. However, in times of mania we tend to do some really crazy stuff. At least I did!

A3Im going to answer this question a little different; What if she is telling the truth, and her brother is planning on no body believing her? because she has this disease?---keep that in mind when you take her to the DR--mrfoot56
Q. I'm scared to be pregnant... vomiting and to give birth...Please tell me it's fine!!
A1since how long are you pregnant? it seems that it just started. if you vomit a lot it is imperative that you drink enough water - still water like Vitel, Vichy, L'eau d'Evian that you get in your country and find bottles in glass - not in plastic! Plastic is anorganic and can't be assimilated in our bodies. there is no reason to be scared if you vomit. this means that you don't drink enough water. i know this. believe me and you will see that in the next days you will not vomit anymore. just keep me informed please!
A2most people will look at you in a weird way when you'll tell them that you are scared of getting pregnant. but i know from my wife's experience that a first pregnancy is a scary process. and a lot of women are afraid! it's ok! it's natural to be scared! i suggest talking to someone you trust, some one with good experience, that can guide you and help you.
