Q. For the past 6 months I have been trying to loose weight.

For the past 6 months I have been trying to loose weight and I succeeded in that. But I feel to be heavy now. Why did this happened? Or is it just a feel?

Q. How can you get past a weight loss plateau?

I have been steadily losing weight and am 19 lbs. lighter. However, over the past week, I have stopped losing. I haven't changed my diet. What do I need to do to get the weight loss started again?
A1to kick start your metabolic furnace, try and change things up on your body. Try modifying your diet. Try changing up your workout routine (and if you don't have a workout routine, add one). If you've been focusing on cardio workout regimens so far, then ignore the cardio for a while and hit the weights instead. Basically, do everything that you're not doing now. This will send your body the message that you mean business, and should get the ball rolling again. Also, you could try manipulating your diet somewhat. Try alternating your caloric intake - "low" and "high" days, to keep your body guessing.
A2Just remain on your diet & stop jumping on the scales every day! You body needs time to adjust to the change. The next time you weigh yourself (or later), you will see a weight reduction. BE PATIENT!

Q. My sister is struggling with breast cancer for the past 12 years.

My sister is struggling with breast cancer for the past 12 years. She has underwent surgery long back and also 3 chemo’s and 1 radiotherapy and now the cancer is grown out of the area to an invasive form. She has lost her confidence as the doctors carried out another chemo to prevent the spread of cancer to bones. The chemo makes her sick as the side effect scourge her life and the same happened with this one even and makes it difficult for her; with an infection in her left leg of big size and more awful with puss and pain, she is just struggling to have her normal life back for some years …..Now this infection is a new one not usually seen after all chemo she had and I think it’s because that this time she had chemo for invasive cancer… Is this a common occurrence from such a chemical infused in this stage and is toxic and anyone heard of such a thing?
APains in cancer are quite common and must be taken boldly...My dear and it has grown big in your sister’s case…I have seen some of my hospital mates with breast cancer, had infection post chemo for advanced stage, and many even did not had and once asked to the doctor was told that it happens because of the lower immunity which a patient had and can be recovered with diet good to boost immunity. Meet any dietician to help your sister frame a diet to boost her immunity as well let her get cured from this infection and also do talk to her doctor about this ….probably they will have better ideas for her because they know her situation. Don’t worry many worse situation I have seen but those guys take it hard…and fight.

Q. I am affected by fibromyalgia and have been suffering with this disease for the past 5 years.

Hello. I am affected by fibromyalgia and have been suffering with this disease for the past 5 years and have been living with great pain. I cannot bear this anymore and the situation is pathetic that I am not just suffering from an ordinary pain but burning pain. To make the situation worst, I have developed several itches on my body and have developed a vision problem quite recently. I am being very sensitive to bright light falling on my eyes and I have stopped driving after dark. I cannot really make you guys understand my situation and I would like to have this resolved soon. I am under treatment but have lost hope and I need to find a reliable solution for this issue. Please help me
A1Hi, I understand your problem. Infact I do have the same problem and I too suffer from the same pain as you do and trust me I can understand your feeling. I am also sensitive to bright light and infact I develop temperature every evening and that would continue until late night and I am having same pattern for several years. I would be normal only in the morning after I wake up and I am not sure why I am being affected with this. One thing that I have understood in life is never give up and lose your confidence. I think you need to be strong and deal with this. Do not lose hope and you would be fine soon.
A2Mickey, slow down take a deep breath and remember you are not alone! First it is hard for people to understand but i too have vision problems and people where telling me it wasn't from the Fibromyalgai...it was . I understand your vision problems, your pain b/c between the fibromyalgai, the degenerative bone/ disc disease, the osteoarthritis and the migrains there is not a day that goes by that i am not in pain BUT this does not make yours less important to me it just means I understand a little better than some people. For me the worst of the fibro ihas been for about the last 4 years and when I am stressed it is so much worse. So lets chat and see what we can do to help you BUT don't give up it is what we call a Fibro day at my house( several have attacked me at once of late). Tell me what treatment you are using...let's chat and find someway to see if we can help you cope on an hour to hour bases then we will worry about day to day! We know theere isn't an easy answer so let's see w

Q. I have a real painful back pain and neck pain for the past 2 months. What should I do?

A1Try and look at your typical daily actions and positions. Is there anything that might be causing it? bad chair? This will help you pinpoint what is causing the problem.

(from my personal experience: keep away from chiropractors. have never met one that helped. they can make things worse)
A2Well, it depends on many things-do you have pain in any other place? Do you fell tingling or numbness in your limbs? Were you injured? Etc.
If the pain lasts that long, it's reasonable to consult a doctor (e.g. orthopedist), because it may be caused by diseases that can be treated.

Q. I have been suffering from back pain for the past two months. I have tried several treatments. Any ideas?

I don't have a history of back pain. I started to experience pain in my shoulders, neck and upper back about two months ago. Prior to the condition I started to work out with a personal trainer, but I felt good for three months, so the doctor and I don't think there is a connection. I tried many types of massages, chiropractic treatment, and Acupunctures. I also went to an orthopedic MD. The doctor prescribed Arxocia for ten days and another round of Arxocia pills . I still have pain in my shoulders and neck. Any ideas what can I do. The doctor says it's nothing serious and that it's called upper back pain and that it will pass with time. Any ideas to ease the pain and treat this?
A1have you tried naprapathy, check it out, you will be surprised.

A3Stretch each morning and night using the muscles that hurt, use a broom stick. Do not over do it, stretch it out to the point right before you feel pain, and hold it for 5-10 seconds. This will loosen the muscles up, so when you use them during the day without thinking, they will be already stretched out. Your doc is right. Time will heal you. Theres no pill that can help, except if you get pain killers which will just mask the pain. Stretch and do not try to do anything you think will aggravate the injurie. You'll be at square 1 if you re-injure yourself. When you do feel better, try and work out the muscles that were hurting you, using very light weight gradually increaseing. You will make the muscles stronger this way. Good luck, in know what you must be going threw and it really sucks!! (Did acupuncture work 4 u? It did nothing for me at all. My back was killing me, and this girl was sticking pins in my ear?? What??? lol)

Q. i have a lump in my earlobe that keeps getting bigger within the past few days. its pretty big now.

AI didn't understand if it's in both earlobes or just one of them. If it's in both- could it be you're using earrings that cause irritation? Nikel containing earring are known to cause contact dermatitis and can cause the earlobe to swell. If it is one sided or has nothing to do with earrings, it could be a small infection and you should see a doctor, to decide the proper cream or treatment to apply on it.
