My sister is 10 weeks pregnant and she is suffering from stomach pain from week 5 until now. I am Just wondering is it normal to have stomach pain when pregnant? and dose it go away after 12 weeks? This is her first pregnancy so please educate us.
A1hmm...my wife also felt pain during those weeks (5th..? maybe 4th...? up to the 11th- not sure) but it was not constant and not very painful. she went to her gyno who checked her out and told her it's the uterus stretching but it's good that she comes to check it out cause who knows.. don't take a chance.
A2Go to the doctor, always best to check these things out. It could just be your uterus stretching to accommodate what it's about to undertake but it could be something else. Best to get it checked. Dont worry much! It may be natural. This video may help you swetha.

Q. what kind of diet/food is good for helping with a stomach ache?

Ayou may study the P90X
I also really enjoy the recipes that came with the px90 nutrition plan, my husband is a chef and these recipes are very tasty and fulfilling. I am getting into great shape at my own pace with the encouragement and support of my own personal trainer that I used to pay $50.00 a session and also have my own personal nutritionist to go along with it with my own personal eating plan. I also purchased the recovery formula and the orange taste is great and has plenty of nutrients to assist me to recover from the workout. I absolutely love it and will send you before and after pics when i am done.

Q. how can i differentiate between normal stomach ache and an Appendicitis?

I've been having a strange sharp pain in my stomach lately and a friend of mine told me it could be Appendicitis.
A1When you have Appendicitis, there should be a sharp pain on the right lower Abdomen. but you mustn't forget that Appendicitis is an inflammation. which means you'll have a fever some time in the near future, and it always get worse. not like other Abdominal pains. you'll vomit probably. i had my Appendix removed 2 years ago. don't worry, it's not too bad ;).
A2Well, to begin with - it is important to diagnose Appendicitis as soon as possible, so if i were you i'd go see a doctor. Regardless, i heard that not always, but sometimes you can diagnose an Appendicitis with a simple routine - just press the right side of your lower Abdomen(left of your right iliac bone- the pelvic bone) slowly, and then release it, fast. if by doing so you fill sharp pain- i suggest E.R quick... BUT - most important, as i said ,sometimes it doesn't work, so you should really be checked by a doctor.

Q. what kind of diet/food is good for helping me with a stomach ache?

A1I will recommend daily yogurt, since yogurt contains good bacteria that will improve your gastrointestinal/digestive system.
Many papers had also believed that red wine (in small amount) can improve our digestive system.
A2well, stomach ache is a symptoms that can be caused by all sort of things. if it's from gas in the digestive system- there aer food you can avoid. if it's from an ulcer in the stomach- there are other types you should avoid. anyway, you need to know what the cause of the pain.

Q. frequent sharp pains in stomach followed by vomiting and or diarehha?

AThese symptoms could fit ulcer disease, although diarrhea is less frequent. Other common possibilities I can think about are bile stones (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biliary_colic), and also IBS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irritable_bowel_syndrome), although many other things could cause such symptoms as you describe.
