Figure 12(b) shows the pressure-maximum curvature histories for stems supported by FRP wraps with the same characteristics at various locations, with the
yield points occurring at around 0.002 rad/m in most cases.
Again, an inflection point occurs in the curves when the applied stress reaches the
yield point of 0.47 GPa.
Steel CS500 had clearly expressed
yield point [R.sub.el] = 300 MPa, for steel CS700 the offset
yield point was determined [R.sub.0.2] = 500 MPa.
4, with the amount of bentonite concentration increasing,
yield point of drilling fluid keeps increasing.
This paper investigates the stress and strain at the
yield point and the peak stress point during the destruction of rocks with different moisture contents, and their relationship with the accompanying AE signals.
This explains why engineers who are used to working with metals are surprised that plastic materials cannot operate as close to their
yield point as metals can.
Each stress-strain curve has a diffuse upper yield strength, followed by a long region of
yield point elongation, also called a Luders strain.
After interpolation the
yield point (t [ha.sup.-1]) formed the surface of the yield map.
