waiting list census
A tabulation of waiting-time targets and guarantees given by NHS Boards to their residents under the terms of the Patient's Charter, which is collected from each NHS trust at hospital and specialty level about each patient waiting at a quarterly census point. Data on a waiting list census include the type of waiting list (true, deferred admission or planned-repeat admission), type of treatment (inpatient or day case), date the patient was added to the waiting list, and the patient's postcode and GP practice.Segen's Medical Dictionary. © 2012 Farlex, Inc.
