vitalistic approach

Naturopathy
A philosophical stance adopted by some naturopaths in which the intent of therapy is to detoxify the body and allow the natural healing forces to act in the most optimal fashion. Central to the vitalistic approach is the use of diet, hydrotherapy to improve the blood flow to the gastrointestinal tract, and reduction of stress.
