When it comes to plant care,
variegated plants do need a little extra attention.
I reckon you will find this one like so many other
variegated plants becomes an overnight sensation, so watch out for it.
Used sparingly,
variegated plants can highlight a border or entry garden.
Be warned, though, that new growth can be scorched by icy winds, the
variegated types will need some sunshine, and for berries you need a female variety with a male type nearby.
* CHECK shrubs with
variegated foliage, such as eleagnus and weigela, for signs of reversion - shoots bearing green leaves - and prune these shoots back to a stem carrying
variegated leaves.
