A tick-borne rickettsial infection–eg, north Asian tick-borne rickettsiosis, Queensland tick typhus, and African tick typhus–fiévre boutonneuse, etc, which is similar to RMSF, but less severe, with fever, a small ulcer at the site of the tick bite, satellite lymphadenopathy, and a maculopapular rash.
