pixel

 [pik´sel]
a picture element; a CT scan or PET scan is composed of an array of squares (pixels), each of which is colored a uniform shade of gray or another color. The corresponding region in the tissue slice that is imaged is called a voxel (volume element).

The linear regularization parameter has a certain restraining effect on the recovery of the high frequency components, while the suppression effect on the subpixel level noise information is small, so that the reconstructed image is fuzzy or has obvious noise ripples and then this paper proposes nonlinear regularization parameters and ensures the convexity of the cost functions and regularization parameters.
Through the careful control and variation of the voltage applied, the intensity of each subpixel can range over 256 shades.
