While in the fourth generation, testis size being a minor quantity than partially of offspring of those mice consuming adequate Se (250-300 g/kg sodium selenite), and testis were observed to be bilaterally shrunken lacking mitotic action in
spermatogonia (Ufer and Wang, 2011).
The research team found that the number of undifferentiated
spermatogonia per seminiferous tubule increases steadily with age until about age 11, then rise sharply.
However, no significant difference was observed in the number of
spermatogonia (A and B), spermatocyte, round and long spermatids, and Sertoli cells between the experimental groups.
Prolonged dosing resulted in continued spermatocyte degeneration as well as maturation depletion of the spermatid population, leaving tubules containing only sustentacular cells,
spermatogonia and preleptotene spermatocytes.

brasiliana resulted from lesions and could be characterized as a generalized impairment of
spermatogonia maturation with exfoliation of degenerative cells and loss of seminiferous tubule cell layers (as observed in Table 2), including a loss of type A1
spermatogonia.
These individuals presented primary growth oocytes as well as
spermatogonia, spermatocytes, and spermatozoids (Figs.
In the STs, predominant primary spermatocytes and
spermatogonia were stained as PCNA-positive in the control and L-cys groups.
Kallistem said it had managed to transform basic male fertility cells, called
spermatogonia, into mature sperm in test tubes.
The results of the microscopic examination showed no clear difference between the densities of
spermatogonia type A, primary spermatocytes at the pachytene stage, spermatids at the zygotene stage and spermatozoa in the seminiferous tubules of vaccinated (Figure 2Ba) and control lambs (Figure 2Bb) at week 30 after the primary immunization.
The Sertoli cells which proliferated and created a monolayer of feeder cells and
spermatogonia cells were colonized.
Three stages were present: (1) Regressed, seminiferous tubules contained mainly
spermatogonia and interspersed Sertoli cells; (2) Recrudescent, germ cell proliferation for the next period of sperm formation (spermiogenesis) had commenced.
