The Iron and Steel
Slag market remains amalgamated with the incidence of foremost players who keep contributing to the market's growth significantly t.
She was addressing a conference titled 'Promoting Awareness and Usage of Iron and Steel
Slag -- Ushering in a New Era' organised by industry body FICCI.
Commenting on the agreement, Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi, chief executive officer of Emirates Steel, said: "As one of the largest integrated manufacturers of finished steel products in the region, we produce 800,000 tonnes of
slag annually, and we are committed to finding ways to mitigate our impact on the environment."
Crushed to 1-5mm granules, the
slag will be sold as a raw product for the construction industry after any remaining metals have been extracted from the
slag.
"By deploying advanced technological solutions, such as those offered by Ecofer, we will be processing 800,000 tonne per year, so over the first two years we will process around 1.6 million tonne of
slag," he added.
GPIT will receive granulated blast furnace
slag, a byproduct of steel production, by ship and then use Charah Solutions' grinding methods to process MultiCem brand
slag cement.
This building is using 50 percent
slag cement in all concrete applications, including foundation, slab-on-grade, paving, sidewalks, casting beds and tilt-up panels.

The
slag viscosity was measured by rotating cylinder method and recorded during the cooling cycle and the experiment was not ended until a steep increase in the viscosity value.
However, fly ash and
slag are usually used in civil engineering, especially the costal and offshore engineering such as sea crossing bridge and wind power plant and port.
