psammomatous papilloma

An obsolete term for a papillary lesion accompanied by psammoma bodies, which in the ovary would encompass the papillary serous cystadenocarcinoma, papillary serous cystadenoma and the papillary serous tumour of uncertain malignant potential (borderline tumour), although the latter two are less commonly associated with psammoma bodies.
