protanopia
Type of dichromatism in which only two hues are seen: below 493 nm all radiations appear bluish whereas above it they all appear yellowish. Around 493 nm is the neutral point. The luminosity function of protanopes is significantly decreased for red radiations (for which he or she is almost blind). The condition occurs in about 1.1% of the male population.
