Transfusion medicine The collection and subsequent reinfusion of blood lost in the operative field during and after surgery, after the blood has been anticoagulated, filtered, and washed Indications Significant–≥ 250 mL blood losses, the operative field was not contaminated and Pts do not have systemic infections or malignancy.
