papilloma

A benign tumour of skin or mucous membrane in which epithelial cells grow outward from a surface around a connective tissue core containing blood vessels. Papillomas may be flat or spherical with a narrow neck (pedunculated) and occur on the skin, in the nose, bladder, larynx or breast. Most skin papillomas are WARTS.

Papilloma

A benign growth on the skin or mucous membrane. Viruses that cause these growths are called human papillomaviruses (HPVs).

Q. Should I Vaccinate My Daughter Against HPV? I have a 12 year old daughter. Her School wants all the girls aged 12 and up to be vaccinated against HPV. A lot of Parents are against this vaccine. I want to know more about this vaccine and if I should vaccinate my daughter.

To settle the long-standing battle on the nomenclature of NP, the WHO in 1991 has given directive that any NP encountered in the sinonasal area should be labeled depending upon the histopathology under three headings: (i) IP, (ii) EP, and (iii) oncocytic papilloma.
