1. A person qualified to test vision, examine the eyes and prescribe glasses and contact lenses (ophthalmic optician).
2. A person qualified to fit spectacle frames, to make the measurements necessary to ensure that spectacle lenses are properly centred in the frames, and to fit contact lenses (dispensing optician).
