non-Oriental massage

A general term for any form of massage therapy (e.g., polarity therapy, reiki, therapeutic touch, etc.) intended to balance the flow of energy. Non-Oriental massages are based on principles other than that of harmonising chi, which is the principle underlying oriental massage therapy.
