Network management software provider Spiceworks Inc announced on Wednesday the release of a new version of its free IT management software, including features designed to help IT professionals better manage their computers, networked devices and software.
The new release features: virtualised server and desktop management, enabling businesses to remotely discover and monitor VMWare ESX/ESXi & vSphere virtualised servers; remote process management, allowing administrators to remotely view and kill desktop and server processes; network map for wireless networked devices with support for Cisco wireless access points (WAPs); integrated CDW search; as well as integrated power management.
The end result is enhanced data access and increased distance tolerance between networked devices.
