most-favoured nation clause

A clause which may be written into a contract that a physician or other healthcare provider in the USA has with a managed care organisation (MCO), requiring the doctor to give the MCO his or her lowest possible price for providing a particular service, effectively barring him or her from contracting with any person or organisation for a lower fee.
