macrobiotic shiatsu
macrobiotic shiatsu™
A preventive holistic healthcare system developed by S Yamamoto (who also developed Barefoot Shiatsu™) as a means of “balancing” the individual through health-promoting lifestyle changes. The system stresses proper (i.e., macrobiotic) diet, abundant exercise (especially out-of-doors, regardless of the season), proper breathing and a regulated sex life; in addition to shiatsu, Macrobiotic Shiatsu™ therapists may use moxabustion, tapping and cupping to treat health problems.Segen's Medical Dictionary. © 2012 Farlex, Inc.
