Hansen recommends three pea-sized dots every other night for the first 2 weeks with a lubricating cream. Then, depending on the patient's reaction, it might be boosted to daily therapy.
This can be prevented if you will place a bit of lubricating cream or ointment about the size of a pea on the end of your fingertip and then rub it up inside the nose, especially on the middle portion (the septum).
There are lots of lubricating creams available and you may only need them in outer areas, as your inner well may not have dried up.
