Intravenous Pyelography (IVP):
Intravenous Pyelography (IVP) is useful in confirming duplication systems, function of kidneys and other anatomic abnormalities.
Follow-up included clinical examination, abdominal ultrasound and/or
intravenous pyelography repeated every week after lithotripsy.
Intravenous pyelography showed a pelvic functioning kidney.
The day after he underwent colostomy, we performed an
intravenous pyelography which showed normal kidneys and urethra.
Although radiological examinations, such as CT scan,
intravenous pyelography and ultrasound, could detect hydronephrosis in all of the above cases, they did not indicate a specific etiology.
Intravenous pyelography is a basic imaging technique, especially its late pictures that visualize deficient excretory function of the segment with the ectopic ureter.
Intravenous pyelography has traditionally been used in determining structural involvement of GU TB.
(Figure 2)
Intravenous pyelography showed no renal pathology.
