In all subjects, hypersensitivity reactions were noted 12 hours after application of the dye intradermally. Ice was applied to the site of inflammation for ten minutes, twice daily, and an ointment based on escin (10mg [g.sup.-1]) and diethylamine salicylate (50mg [g.sup.-1]) was applied twice daily to help resolve signs of hypersensitivity.
