Chi-square test was performed to reveal whether there is any association between presence of impacted canines in the two genders and association of gender with quadrant (left versus right) and position (buccal versus palatal) of unilateral impacted canines.
Maxillary canine impaction occurs more than twice than mandibular canine impactions.1 It is important to understand the prevalence and patterns of impacted canines for its timely diagnosis.
This ratio is similar to the previously reported ratio of 1.85: 1 in Pakistani population.13 The international reported gender distribution for an impacted canine is in the range of 1.3:1 to 2.:1.1,14,15 Left side predominance was found for both palatal and buccal impacted canine in males and females respectively in the present study.
Based on the validated pier model, comparison of the failure mode of the impacted pier between the real vehicle-pier collision accident [2] and numerical simulation was developed by authors and the results were shown in Figures 11,12, and 13.
Most concrete elements are eroded and the shear capacity of the impacted piers decreases, leading to much larger plastic deformation in the collision process.
Impact velocity, impact mass, and impact energy are parameters associated with vehicle, which have great influences on the impact force and deformation of the impacted piers.
The FE models of oil and gas pipelines impacted by spherical and cube rockfalls were established in this paper.
(1) Under radial impact, the crater impacted by spherical rockfall on the pipeline was deeper than by cube rockfall with the same volume.
3 shows the CAI's as a function of impact energy for the conventional composite specimens impacted by the free-fall and instrumented impactors, respectively.
The parameter [Kappa] was found to be 0.5 for the toughened composites impacted by the free-fall impactor, and 0.6 for the composites impacted by the instrumented impactor.
The position classifications impacted most by retirement are: secretarial (administrative, principal, senior), n=65; human service technician senior, n=13; housekeeper, n=11; clerk (senior, clerk/transcriber, accounting clerks and technicians), n=13; and training instructor, n=5.
Another "clustering" is seen in the geographical locations impacted, i.e., Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute and the Field Services offices of GDRS.
