Aerospace medicine A loss of visual resolution—‘misting’ of the visual field—which is described in acceleration or deceleration injuries in high speed vehicles
Cardiology A descriptive term for faintness due to vasodepressor illness/vasovagal syncope which may be seen in cardiac disease—e.g., in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
