TLC chromatographic conditions were optimized to obtain a system in which the
flavones C-glycosides would be separated in the best manner.
However, defoliated saplings had significantly higher concentrations of total
flavone aglycones and DHPPG and significantly lower concentrations of cinnamic acid derivatives and (+)-catechin than did control saplings (Table 1, [ILLUSTRATION FOR FIGURE 2 OMITTED]).
In conclusion, molecular modifications on the
flavone scaffold placing the amine group on different positions on A ring will be further explored in order to facilitate a cation-[pi] interaction.
Different groups of mice received 3,3'-dihydroxy
flavone, 6,3'-dihydroxy
flavone, and 5,6-dihydroxy
flavone - i.p in doses of 5, 10, and 20 mg/kg and 3,7-dihydroxy
flavone in doses of 2.5, 5, and 10 mg/kg, 30 min before test.

The signal in [delta] (43.1 ppm) is assigned to C-3 [26] and the signal in 103.5 ppm is assigned to C-10 of hydroxylated
flavones, which are included in the structure of our compound and confirmed in the [sup.1]H NMR spectrum.
In other words, the range of total concentration was narrower in red plants compared with green plants, which indicated that red plants could withstand a greater environmental impact on
flavone accumulation, which could result in greater uniformity of food quality.
