Interrater reliability was analyzed for the four categories: "ventricular
extrasystole," "supraventricular
extrasystole," "
extrasystole of unknown origin," and "erroneous detection" using unweighted Cohen's kappa.
Objective: To determine the relationship between levels of anxiety and burnout and prevalence of atrial
extrasystoles (AESs) and ventricular
extrasystoles (VESs) among critical care nurses.
We observed ST depression, ventricular
extrasystoles, and sustained ventricular tachycardia 2 min after intubation.
During the electrophysiology study (Figures 3 and 4) the baseline ECG showed sinus rhythm, 88 bpm (beats per minute), AQRS=+30 degrees, left ventricular hypertrophy and supraventricular
extrasystoles. AH 60 ms, HV 52 ms.
These modifications can lead to an increase in the spontaneous release of [Ca.sup.2+] from SR and could generate [Ca.sup.2+] waves, thus producing cardiac abnormal electrical activity and
extrasystoles (5,18).
Sinus tachycardia, atrial ectopic beats, ST changes, ventricular
extrasystoles, sinus arrhythmia, 1deg AV block, left bundle branch block, right bundle branch block were found in cited cases.
In our study, when two groups were compared arrhythmia (ventricular or atrial premature beats and
extrasystoles), (p<0.05), AV block (p<0.05) and LBBB (p<0.01) were observed less in the bicaval group.
In addition, we found that irregular heart rhythms, such as atrial fibrillation or multiple
extrasystoles made use of the algorithm cumbersome.
In all control guinea-pigs, intravenous administration of pitressin resulted in the typical electrocardiographic signs of coronary arterial spasm (ST-Segment elevation, increase voltage or inversion of the T-wave, prolongation of the P-Q and Q-T intervals), in an elevation of arterial blood pressure of 40.5[+ or -]3.0 mmHg and in the disturbances of cardiac rhythm characterized by ventricular
extrasystoles followed by paroxysmal ventricular tachycardia of short duration, intervalated by bradicardic sinusal rhythm with atrioventricular blocks.
Some of the subjects were taking long-acting nitrates or [beta]-blockers for coronary disease or verapamil for ventricular
extrasystoles. These drugs were withdrawn 1 week before the test.
Three of the patients having supraventricular tachycardia were treated with beta-blockers, the others had atrial
extrasystoles. Extended Pwd duration was determined in all patients who developed atrial arrhythmias.
