The higher concentration of nitrate, phosphate, and sulphate at low tide might be attributed to the higher abundance of chrysophytes and
euglenoids at low tide.
The term phytoplankton encompasses a heterogenous set of microscopic eukaryotic lineages, resulting in a broad diversity of not related groups such as green algae, diatoms, dinoflagellates, and
euglenoids, among others (Graham et al., 2009).

aeruginosa and phytoplankton: The dominant species of phytoplankton which were found in prawn and fish ponds were green algae, dinoflagellates and
euglenoids, whereas cyanobacteria were found in lower amount in fish pond.

euglenoids.
They also found cyanobacteria, chrysophytes and cryptophytes were dominant at times while dinoflagellates, chlorophytes and
euglenoids appeared occasionally abundant, but were relatively minor components on an annual basis.
Euglenoids were only present when Chlorophyta were not dominant (Fig.
