eledoisin
[el″ĕ-doi´sin] a decapeptide from the posterior salivary gland of a species of small octopus, Eledone; it is a precursor of a large group of biologically active peptides. It has vasodilator, hypotensive, and extravascular smooth muscle stimulant properties.
