More than 90% of the genotypes found in the TD group (
ectopy, agenesis, and hypoplasia) and in the control subjects were represented by sizes 14 and 16 polymorphisms in the following combinations: 14/14, 14/16, and 16/16.
Cervical
ectopy and the acquisition of human papillomavirus in adolescents and young women.
Sinus tachycardia and increased ventricular
ectopy are reported following the application of nortriptyline.
Telemetry usually is indicated for affected patients in order to observe for
ectopy. This may prevent deterioration into atrial fibrillation or flutter.
(21) Our finding that individuals under age 25 had increased odds of coinfection (OR = 2-3.5) also supports previous research (24-26) and could be related to the fact that younger women are thought to be more susceptible to chlamydia than are older women, due to increased cervical
ectopy. (27) This could also account for younger males being more likely to be coinfected, if the local sexual networks exhibit age homogeneity, as implied by our finding that the mean age difference between cases and their contacts was just four years.
Prediction of sudden death in heart failure patients: a novel perspective from the assessment of the peak
ectopy rate.
Young persons might be at increased risk for infection because of biologic risk factors (e.g., cervical
ectopy might predispose to infection and is more common in younger women), contextual risk factors (e.g., some young persons might lack power in relationships to insist upon condom use), or behavioral risk factors (e.g., younger persons might be more likely to have sex with new partners or sex with multiple partners) (1).
Important biological risk factors are greater susceptibility to HIV transmission due to cervical
ectopy, which is particularly pronounced in younger women, the presence of co-factors such as other sexually transmitted diseases or other infections, and the greater ease of transmission from men to women (10).

Inherited ventricular
ectopy and sudden death in young german shepherd dogs.
A 24-hour Holter recording revealed an underlying sinus rhythm, with heart rates between 48 to 153 bpm and no ventricular
ectopy. A treadmill exercise test was normal.
