diffusion chamber
Therapeutics A biohybrid device in which cells of interest–pancreatic islet cells–are placed in chamber and implanted via trocar or incision in the peritoneum or subcutis; the DC is like the earlier perfusion chamber, and the currently preferred microsphere, a type of encapsulated cell therapy, which in some cases, achieves adequate glucose control.
