whiteboard

noun A glossy white surface on which one uses non-permanent markers to share ideas in meetings, classrooms and work environments. The term has been extended to mean any interactive collaboration, including the use of a virtual whiteboard by multiple participants in various parts of the world during videoconferencing.

verb To share ideas and interact with others, as if a whiteboard were being used, to list participants’ ideas and to facilitate dialogue, as in “Let’s whiteboard this proposal.”
