Crisis Center in Elgin, is retiring on June 30, after 44 years with the organization.

Crisis Center will allow mental health and addiction staff members to resolve a crisis as a team rather than requiring individuals in crisis to go from one treatment facility to another," Marilyn Cook, director of COMCARE of Sedgwick County, said.
The one-stop
crisis center for victim-survivors of gender-based violence, a special unit under the office of the vice mayor, will provide complete intervention and protection services to abused victims and their families including medical and police assistance, medico-legal, legal, and psychological services.
This year all donations and tournament proceeds will be used to support the efforts of The
Crisis Center of Johnson County.
With Spofforth also spending time and energy as a volunteer counsellor at Alachua County
