Creeping Charlie, also known as Ground Ivy, Gill over the Ground, or Glechoma, is a short-branching plant that invades many lawns.
I sprayed Fertilome's Weed Free Zone herbicide in the spring and it wiped out my
creeping charlie, clover, dandelions and other broadleaf weeds.
I took a sample into work and my colleagues smugly informed me that I had an infestation of "
Creeping Charlie." "Can't kill it with a stick" was the advice that most people gave me.
The plants (geraniums, petunias, and
creeping Charlie shown here) are fed biweekly through the growing season.
That makes it more effective on hard-to-kill weeds like clover and
creeping Charlie.
