con·dyle path

(kondīl path)
Trajectory of real or putative condylar point during movement. In research, image-defined condylar landmarks matched with jaw movement recordings will result in actual condylar paths. Clinically, a putative condylar point located by palpation for determining landmarks (e.g., terminal hinge axis) will be tracked during jaw movement to create a condyle path; also frequently used to describe movement of condylar sphere of an articulator.
