community care network

A component of the American Hospital Association’s proposal for healthcare reform. In a community care network, local hospital-organised groups of physicians and clinics would compete for contracts with group insurers, and would provide care to those enrolled in the plan; the fees would be capitated and rates determined by an independent regulatory board.
