Any scientifically naïve or invalid belief, theory or assertion on the nature of cancer, its pathogenesis and appropriate management, which may sharply differ from available scientific evidence and be used by purveyors of unsound or pseudomedical cancer remedies to promote their products or services.

Cancer fallacies 
• One should be allowed to chose the therapy, irrespective of proof of efficacy.
• One should be allowed to chose the therapy for his or her children, irrespective of proof of efficacy.
• There is nothing to lose by trying an alternative therapy.
