Due to its dense cortical layer, the
calvarium has proven to be a source of mechanically reliable bone grafts, which also show very limited resorption over the years (Smith & Abramson; Le Lorch-Bukiet et al., 2005).
Diffuse osteopenia, prominent vascular markings in skull, thin and large
calvarium with shallow diploic space, multiple wormian bones, small mandible with infantile obtuse angle and short ascending rami, hypoplastic facial bones, open cranial fontanelles, thin short clavicles, dwarfism, abnormally gracile ribs involving the posterior segments of the upper ribs, slender long bones, kyphosis, coxa valga, and progressive acroosteolysis of the terminal phalanges were the major roentgen findings previously reported.
None of these cases was reported with changes in thoracic skeleton, scoliosis, pelvis or
calvarium.

calvarium to calcaneus.
Well-described donor sites for bony and cartilaginous framework repairs are the ears, ribs, and/or
calvarium. Numerous techniques and donor sites have been described for nasal lining reconstruction, especially local flaps based on the nasal septal mucosa, inferior turbinates, or other areas of nasal lining.
Histologic and histomorphometric assessment of Strumann Bone Ceramic with two sizes as well as Bio-Oss on the quality and quantity of bony defects healing in the rabbit's
calvarium. Thesis for Postgraduate Degree in Periodontics; Tehran Dental School.
To make an injection, orient the needle perpendicular to the skull and press through the
calvarium to approximately 2 mm depth.
Initial imaging with Computed Tomography (CT) revealed a large soft tissue mass appearing to arise from the
calvarium with minimal moderate extrinsic mass effect on the adjacent brain, (Figure 1) while Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) revealed a 4.6 x 4.1 cm mass (Figure 2), suggesting a lesion arising from the
calvarium or an extra-axial mass, such as a meningioma.
Rats with defects in the
calvarium filled with coagulum and sacrificed after 7 days (control group) (n = 5);
After sacrifice of the rat, the
calvarium (frontal and parietal bone) was taken immediately and all adhering soft tissues were removed.
