business intelligence system

An IT system which uses technologies, processes, and applications to analyse internal, structured data and business processes. Some NHS trusts have used such systems to empower their stakeholders to make shared, informed decisions and strengthen partnerships with other local sector organisations, to improve both the health education and the health and well-being of its service population.
