biotrode

An electric circuit in which plant enzymes are integrated directly into an electrode, allowing measurement of the molecules of biochemical interest.

Examples, potential biotrodes
• Bananas contain polyphenol oxidase, which measures dopamine.
• Corn kernels contain pyruvate decarboxylase, which measures pyruvate.
• Sugar beets contain tyrosinase.
• Jack beans contain urease.

BioTrode

Pseudo-medicine
A head harness that delivers EMF pulsations, which is said to have some nebulously defined health benefits, such as an anti-ageing effect. There is no peer-reviewed data supporting its efficacy.
