The FDA has approved four drugs for short-term use (up to 12 weeks) that suppress appetite: phentermine,

Nonnarcotic Schedule III drugs include anabolic steroids,
benzphetamine (Didrex[R]), phendimetrazine, and ketamine.
Also, diethylpropion and
benzphetamine pass into breast milk.
