Cardiology genomic testing helps in detecting diseases such as
aortopathy and congenital heart diseases.
Therefore, our data that demonstrate a decrease in adiponectin level and elevation of inflammatory and oxidative stress biomarkers and
aortopathy are in agreement with these studies.
Chances of risk of aortic rupture or dissection increases during pregnancy, secondary to changes in aortic wall,
aortopathy and long-standing hypertension.

Bicuspid aortic valves due to accelerated degeneration predispose to aortic
aortopathy manifesting as aortic valvular stenosis (36), ascending aorta and aortic root dilatation out of proportion to hemodynamic factors, and true SOV aneurysms (37-39).
Many theories have been postulated about the cause of
aortopathy in BAV.
Radiation-induced tissue damage also accelerates arteriosclerosis and
aortopathy. Peripheral fibrosis, calcification, thrombosis, and severe stenosis or even occlusion of small blood vessels including the vasa vasorum induce fragility of large vessels, eventually resulting in perforation of the aorta [3, 8-12].
This associated
aortopathy has been thought to be caused by increased activity of intrinsic tissue structures such as matrix metalloproteinases and protein kinases within the intima and adventitia of the vessel, during embryogenesis, which predisposes these patients to aneurysms.
