Systemic immunotherapies have failed to demonstrate significant clinical activity due to a tumor microenvironment characterized by low tumor
antigenicity, limited infiltration of effector cells, and several processes that suppress immune cell function.
The second region registers the highest peak of
antigenicity and integrates a greater amount of amino acids from [Ser.sub.374]-[Arg.sub.420], 47 amino acids in total, being located in the opposite side to the active site and in a zone highly exposed to the solvent, as can be observed in Figure 7(1B).
Glycosylation of the HA gene is important for neutralization of the antigenic sites, (25) proper folding of the proteins, and has big influence on the
antigenicity and immunogenicity of the HA glycoprotein.
Anaphylaxis may be triggered by multiple agents, one of this is the hydatid cyst due to its high
antigenicity. Allergic reaction during hydatid cyst operation can occur due to interaction of an allergen (hydatid fluid) with specific immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies, which are present on mast cells and basophils in sensitized individuals.
Collagen is regarded as one of the most useful biomaterials due to its excellent biocompatibility, biodegradability and weak
antigenicity [5].
Special attention has been given to collagen-based hydrogels for drug delivery applications [1-5], but they suffer many drawbacks such as rapid degradation, poor mechanical properties, and possible
antigenicity [5].
These data reinforce the close taxonomic relationships between the three mycobacterial species and demonstrate the
antigenicity of the new variants of mycobacterial glycopeptidolipids, whereas the second group has structures similar to those produced by the antigenic lipooligosaccharides of M.
In vivo use of gelatin has been successfully demonstrated by implantation in animal models, with results that suggest low toxicity and reduced
antigenicity relative to collagen [17, 18].
