angiomotin

A protein encoded by AMOT on Xq23 that mediates angiostatin inhibition of migration and tube formation of endothelial cells, and plays a central role in tight junction maintenance via the complex formed with ARHGAP17, regulating the uptake of polarity proteins at tight junctions. It may play a role in the assembly of endothelial cell–cell junctions.
