alcohol forensic tests
alcohol forensic tests
Tests based on alcohol breakdown products used to reveal recent drinking both in the short term (hours) or the longer term (several months). Levels of ethyl glucuronide in urine or blood reveal drinking after 1 to 5 days; phosphatidyl ethanol levels reveal drinking after one to three weeks; and the combined levels of four fatty acid ethyl esters in hair provide evidence for up to several months after drinking.Collins Dictionary of Medicine © Robert M.
