adhesion molecule CD31

A clinically important minor histocompatibility antigen in humans that, when mismatched, has been implicated in GRAFT-VERSUS-HOST DISEASE. This may occur in the recipients of bone marrow from unrelated donors of even apparently identical HLA type.
