[2] The SSSC is a ring formed by the glenoid process, the coracoid process, the coracoclavicular ligaments, the distal clavicle, the
acromioclavicular joint and the acromial process (Figure 1C).

Currently there are four main surgical options for AC joint disruptions: (1) primary AC joint fixation (using pins, screws, suture wires, plates, and the hook plate) with or without ligament repair reconstruction; (2) primary fixation of the coracoclavicular interval with or without
acromioclavicular ligament reconstruction; (3) distal clavicle excision with or without coracoclavicular ligament repair; (4) muscle transfer with or without distal clavicle excision [8].
The
acromioclavicular joint, or AC joint, is a joint at the top of the shoulder.
Specifically, the traditionally-used starting position (TRAD), which places the bar over MTP and under the
acromioclavicular joints of the shoulders (AC) (Figures 1 and 2) was compared to an experimental alignment (EXP) that places the bar over the navicular bones of the feet (N) and under the inferior and medial aspect of the scapular spine (SS) (Figures 1 and 2).
"This is basically when the rotator cuff tendon at the top of the shoulder gets pinched in the AC or
acromioclavicular joint."
Physical examination revealed minimally decreased respiratory sounds at left
acromioclavicular (AC) lower zone.
The areas they cover are anatomy and approaches; glenohumeral instability; rotator cuff and biceps; sternoclavicular and
acromioclavicular joint injuries and clavicle fractures; humeral and scapular fractures; glenohumeral arthritis; muscle ruptures, scapulothoracic articulation, and nerve problems; additional arthroscopic procedures for the shoulder; tendon disorders of the elbow; elbow stiffness; elbow instability; elbow fractures; and elbow arthritis.
Dave Kearney's suffered an AC (
acromioclavicular) joint injury to his shoulder and that will keep him out for some time.
