bilimbi
A fruit tree of the genus Averrhoa, which has a natural range from India to Indonesia. It is used by native herbalists for an array of ailments: topically for itching, insect bites, swelling, rheumatism and rashes; internally for mumps, thrush, common cold, cough, inflammation, as a post-partum tonic and for sexually transmitted infections.
There are no peer-reviewed data to support bilimbi’s efficacy for any of the above conditions.Segen's Medical Dictionary. © 2012 Farlex, Inc. All rights reserved.
